This is one of the secrets of Remote Neural Monitoring. You body is a natural conductor. If you place your hand to you head, a small current flows. If you can "hide" (insulate) your fingers and feet, it will affect the current in your body. Becker, the author of BODY ELECTRIC, was twice nominated for the Nobel Prize.
In RNM there is a weak magnetic field around your body, weaker than the Earth's magnetic field. If you walk through a theft-detection device, such as at JC Penney, it will either inhibit or induce the RNM field on your body. Also, metallic objects in your pocket tend to increase the induction on the body.
